QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification

Master's Degree Preferred

Mid-Management Certification Preferred

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Exceptional communications, public relations, and interpersonal skills

Ability to manage and coordinate diverse district functions through subordinates and supervisors

Ability to evaluate instruction programs and teaching effectiveness

Ability to develop and deliver training to adult learners

Ability to interpret data

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Experience:

Three years successful teaching experience (preferably in grades PreK-3)

Such alternative to the above qualifications as the administration may find appropriate and acceptable

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Campus Support Support principals and early literacy teachers to best instruct students through constant communication and campus visits Work jointly with the Director of Curriculum, ELA Coordinator, and campus administrators in achieving district student performance goals Teacher Training

Provide curricular and instructional training to equip PreK- grades 3 teachers to best instruct students Regular observations of PreK-Grade 3 classroom instruction, provide feedback -assistance and suggestions Plan, improve, and oversee testing programs as assigned for the early literacy programs.Plan and provide staff development for teachers and staff in the area of early literacy. ((including phonics and balanced literacy) Demonstrate teaching strategies with students in classroom. Assessment Management

Create, manage, and publish all regular and modified assessments in a timely manner

Curriculum Management

Manage and publish all curricular documents in a timely manner

Data Analysis

Regularly analyze assessment data to inform curricular and instructional decisions Obtain and use evaluative findings (including student achievement data) to examine curriculum and instruction program effectiveness for the assigned subject are. Research

Continuously research instructional strategies and resources to best equip our teachers and serve our students Disseminate information regarding current research and significant developments on the state levels in area assigned ORGANIZATIONAL CLIMATE

Demonstrate high expectations to staff and students at all levels. Encourage and recognize excellence and/or performance of staff. Communicate and relate to staff, students and parents in ways that convey mutual respect and concern and high expectations Demonstrate awareness of district-community needs and initiate activities to meet those needs.Articulate the district's mission, instructional philosophy, and curriculum implementation strategies to the community and solicit its support. Work collaboratively with the department and campus staff ADMINISTRATION AND FISCAL MANAGEMENT

Use effective communication skills to present information accurately and clearly Keep informed of and comply with state, district, and school regulations and policies Implement the policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, local board policy in curriculum and instruction areaComply with state testing guidelines. Compile, maintain, and present all reports, records, and other documents as required Perform other duties as assigned

Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policy of Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
