Job Summary

Under the direction of Site Administration, Educational Services and Special Education, the Instructional Assistant-Behavior supports classroom teachers, the Behavior Support Specialist, and BCBA in implementing behavior intervention plans, collecting behavior data, and reinforcing positive behavior strategies for students with identified behavioralneeds. This position assists in delivering instruction to individual students and small groups, including the facilitation of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) lessons, and supports the consistent implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) throughout the school day. Responsibilities also include supervisingstudents with behavioral needs across various school settings, supporting transitions, assisting with student toileting and personal care, and responding to behavioral incidents. The Instructional Assistant - Behavior helps maintain a safe and structured learning environment and performs a variety of clerical duties in support of theinstructional and behavioral programs.
