Production Utility Technician
for a growing
food manufacturing company . This role is ideal for candidates with experience in
manufacturing, food production, dairy processing, or packaging operations
who are looking to grow into a versatile, multi-skilled production role.
The Production Utility Technician is responsible for learning and performing multiple roles across
cheese making, packaging, palletizing, and food processing operations . This position ensures all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards, HACCP, and sanitation protocols .
This role may also serve as a
backup Production Supervisor , supporting daily operations, production scheduling, and team coordination as needed. Key Responsibilities Learn and perform production roles including
cheese making, packaging, palletizing, and processing operations Follow all
safety procedures, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, SOPs, and SSOPs Perform
equipment setup, startup, changeovers, and sanitation procedures Conduct and document
quality control checks and production records Monitor production processes and report
equipment issues or product abnormalities Provide coverage for
breaks, vacations, and absences
across production roles Assist with
production planning, scheduling, and workflow coordination Maintain accurate documentation including
charts, make sheets, and sanitation logs Ensure
product traceability
from raw ingredients through finished goods Support
audit readiness, inspections, and housekeeping standards Collaborate with
quality, maintenance, and lab teams
to ensure product quality Assist in
troubleshooting and problem-solving production issues Communicate with
Production Supervisors across shifts
to ensure operational continuity Complete
Supervisor Daily Reports
covering safety, staffing, production, and equipment updates Assist in
incident reporting and documentation
for workplace safety Support
employee scheduling and staffing coordination Maintain confidentiality of company and employee information Perform
equipment inspections and additional duties as assigned Qualifications&Requirements High school diploma or GED required Experience in a
manufacturing or food production environment
required (dairy preferred) Cheese Maker license and Pasteurization certification
required or ability to obtain Knowledge of
HACCP, GMP, SOPs, and SSOPs
preferred Strong focus on
workplace safety and food safety compliance Ability to work in a
fast-paced production environment Strong attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork skills Positive attitude and willingness to learn multiple production roles Physical Requirements Ability to meet job demands per work screen protocol Why Apply? Competitive hourly pay:
