Responsibilities:
NV5, is seeking a Geotech Intern for the Summer 2025 at our New York, NY office. The internship is designed to expose upcoming graduates to the field of geotech engineering as well as the dynamic culture and opportunities within NV5. You will work on challenging assignments that include investigating, troubleshooting, and solving a wide variety of engineering problems. In this job, you will execute and assist with:

Preparation of technical calculation reports and construction documents meeting client and NV5 requirements.

Development of your career via peer-learning through sharing of knowledge with other experienced engineers.

Assist in preparation of deliverables used as work products for NV5 projects.

See the actual workings of an engineering department (beyond what is taught from a purely technical and academic sense).

Provide assistance for specific project-related tasks

Perform miscellaneous duties as requested

Qualifications:
In-progress engineering degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program is required.

Strong academic performance with a focus on relevant coursework.

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Effective interpersonal skills

Analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail

Ability to work independently with appropriate supervision as well as work effectively as a team member
