Job Description:

Immediate need for a Technology Design Engineer who will work on technology planning projects including Telecom (telecommunications), AV (audio-visual), and Security systems. The right candidate will work with clients, manufacturers and design team members preparing construction documents for each project. Experience should include design, specifications, and bid responses.

In-office but would consider hybrid.

Responsibilities:

Verify proper installation of all technology infrastructure equipment during project construction.

Make determinations on project budgets, reviewing bid documents, overseeing the project bidding and administration phases.

Making vendor recommendations

Moderate amount of travel.

Job Requirements:

Minimum of 7+ years professional experience in designing Telecommunications, AV and Security systems

Knowledge of AV and security systems including flow diagrams, rack elevations, and logic diagrams

Hands-on experience creating AV plans, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

Knowledge of IT infrastructure including cable plant, telecom room design and pathways

Familiarity with AV and Security systems

Familiar with CAD and BIM software including AutoCAD and Revit

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Strong Analytical and Quantitative skills

Strong initiative – the willingness to succeed in a collaborative environment.

Ability to multi-task with multiple projects in order to meet strict deadlines.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing

Education:

Bachelors in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Technology, IT or related field PE preferred but not required.
