Staff Accountant, New York

Well known Media company is seeking a staff accountant to join their team.

Responsibilities:

Record and review monthly journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

Prepare and analyze monthly account reconciliations to support financial reporting.

Assist in the financial close process, including preparing P&L statements, cash flow reports, detailed analytics, and account roll forwards.

Review accounts payable transactions to ensure accuracy and proper classification.

Participate in SOX 404 testing and reporting to ensure internal controls are effectively maintained.

Requirements:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (BA/BS)

2+ years of accounting experience in public or private accounting

Experience with general ledger accounting (SAP experience preferred)

Base Salary - $70,000-$90,000 depending on experience
