Legal Assistant/Secretary for a busy Law Firm: Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm. $23.00-$25.00 per hour based on experience Position Overview A busy and professional law firm is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Legal Assistant/Secretary to provide administrative and clerical support to attorneys. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality in a fast-paced legal environment. Key Responsibilities Provide administrative and clerical support for Attorneys Manage schedules Draft correspondences Organize case files Handle client communication Greet and assist clients, visitors, and guests in a professional manner Process and distribute daily incoming and outgoing mail Maintain strict confidentiality of client and firm information Coordinate with outside vendors, clients, and guests to prepare meeting spaces, including room scheduling, setup, and signage Perform a wide range of clerical and administrative tasks Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years legal experience High School Diploma or equivalent required Knowledge in preparing civil litigation documents Knowledge in matrimonial/family law Knowledge in real estate and estate planning Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and confidently within established procedures Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Preferred Attributes Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills Dependable and punctual Ability to thrive in a fast-paced office setting
