Do you enjoy turning drawings and specs into capable, controlled supplier processes? Can you spot a weak control plan from a mile away and recommend the right SPC strategy? Are you at home in supplier audits, PPAP reviews, and cross-functional design discussions? Impact you will make Under the guidance of the Quality Leader, you will ensure design/process compatibility for current parts and new product introductions. You’ll be a key voice on cross-functional teams, confirming that both existing and new suppliers are capable and prepared to meet requirements.What you will do
Initiate and lead technical reviews of supplied parts and supplier QMS. Determine and propose statistical process controls for critical supplier processes. Own tracking and resolution of top supplier quality and productivity issues. Specify inspection and test equipment required to verify conformance to specifications.Supervise assigned quality process control and audit personnel. Maintain test/audit quality documentation aligned to engineering specifications. Support new design introduction activities and supplier readiness. Serve on the process review team to help Product Engineering introduce
purchased/manufactured
components. Provide reject and warranty data to management for ongoing analysis. What you bringKnowledge&Experience
2–4 years in quality assurance/control (preferred). QMS management experience within ISO or IATF certified organizations. Applied statistical knowledge for Quality Assurance. Experience working in a project team setting. Exposure to AIAG methods. Supplier Audits&Assessment: on-site/virtual audits of quality systems and process capability. Part Qualification: PPAP (or equivalent) management for new parts. Root Cause Analysis: SCARs/CAPA leadership for nonconforming materials. Performance Monitoring: KPI tracking (e.g., DPM, on-time delivery) and supplier reviews.Collaboration: partnering with
design/manufacturing
engineering on specs and tolerances. Continuous Improvement: lean/quality initiatives at supplier locations. Skills&Tools
Microsoft applications proficiency. Problem-solving, communication, and diplomacy. Blueprint literacy and familiarity with ASTM standards. Experience assessing supplier quality systems and facilitating improvements. SAP knowledge is beneficial. Education
BS in Engineering, Quality, or Manufacturing preferred. AS required with equivalent experience or ASQ Quality Engineering Certification. Work conditions
Physical demands include extended sitting, some standing, manual dexterity, stooping, bending, and minimal lifting. Some travel (including international) may be required; a valid passport or the ability to obtain one is required.
