Payroll Specialist

The primary function of the Payroll Specialist will primarily be responsible for providing payroll support for the GMS Payroll Team, Payroll system and other HR related third party applications. Duties&Responsibilities

Primary responsibility is to ensure timely and accurate processing of time and attendance data necessary to accurately process payroll. Responds to verifications and employment and wage garnishments Ensures Time&Attendance and other HR related systems are functioning properly. Adheres to internal control processes, including payroll balancing and other internal control compliance. Verifies Paid Time Off accruals and balances across all companies. Responds to employee questions about their pay, deductions, and other payroll-related matters.Investigates and resolves any errors or discrepancies in payroll processing. Works with other departments, such as Human Resources and Finance, to ensure accurate and efficient payroll processing. Setting up new employees in the payroll system. Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree preferred Minimum of 3 years of related work experience Strong Microsoft office skills Strong application / software support experience General knowledge of HR, payroll, and timekeeping Core Competencies

Must be able to remain in stationary position in an office environment: 80% Will frequently move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc. Must be able to operate basic office machinery. Must be able to problem solve and prioritize tasks. Must be able to manage stress depending on deadlines and ongoing projects. Must be able to multitask. Must be able to receive and analyze information. Must be able to quickly communicate solutions if problems occur.
