Job Title: Clinical Lab Scientist

Location: Crescent City, CA

Pay Rate: $2,654.00 Weekly | $63.00/hour (blended pay)

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:00)

          Mid 4x10-Hour (13:00 - 23:00)

Description:

 Performs all aspects of laboratory testing in one or more sections of laboratory. Accurately performs moderate and highly complex laboratory testing including Chemistry, Coagulation, Hematology, and Microbiology using a variety of examination and analytical methods on materials derived from the human body for purpose of providing information for the diagnosis, prevention, or treatment in the assessment of the health of patients of all ages/developmental stages from newborns to geriatrics. Reports results which are substantiated by proper use of appropriate quality control systems. Actively contributes to Performance Improvement activities and participates in proficiency testing. Supervises MLT and CPT staff. Principal accountabilities:

BLS

ACSP- CLS

Required Knowledge of theory and test application of clinical chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, microscopy, coagulation, and transfusion service. 

Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, multi-tasking and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to work in a complex, fast-paced environment and take appropriate actions in challenging situations.

Mandatory Skills:

2 years Experience as CLS

Knowledge of theory and test application of clinical chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, microscopy, coagulation, and transfusion service.
