Description:

Electrical Maintenance Journeyman [$25/hr-$30/hr hourly payrate]

Hours for the role starts at 5am and need to be flexible to work overtime when needed.

Applicants must be a licensed journeyman or have a minimum of 5 years of consistent electrical work experience. Ideally in an industrial setting. However, the client is open to qualified candidates from other backgrounds as well.

The Electrical Maintenance Mechanic plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency and reliability of manufacturing equipment. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and machinery within the facility. The ultimate goal is to minimize downtime and enhance productivity by performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting electrical issues. The Electrical Maintenance Mechanic will collaborate with other maintenance team members to implement best practices and improve overall equipment effectiveness. By maintaining high safety standards and adhering to industry regulations, this role contributes significantly to the success of the manufacturing operations.

Skills/Experience:

Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and machinery.

Diagnose electrical malfunctions and perform necessary repairs to restore equipment functionality.

Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards while performing maintenance tasks.

Report all major issues to Chief Engineer and Production Manager. Assist with resolution.

Establish and maintain positive working relationship between building maintenance crew and production team.

Completion at 100%.

This position may occasionally require physical demands. Lifting and moving of objects heavier than 50 lbs can be expected regularly.

The plant environment may be quite warm during certain times of the year. The ability to walk and stand for the entire shift is necessary.

 

Required Skills:

Proven experience in industrial or manufacturing electrical maintenance.

Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.

Familiarity with HVAC systems and their maintenance.

Journeyman License in Electrical Maintenance or equivalent certification
