The Dispatcher position is responsible to ensure timely, accurate and efficient service to GWI customers and drivers.
Requires strong problem-solving skills, leadership, mentoring abilities, multi-tasking and superior communications ability.
Primary job responsibilities include ensuring independent contractor satisfaction by facilitating load distribution, achieving driver retention and growth goals, working closely with critical departments to best serve drivers and customers, promoting a culture of operational excellence focused on safety and quality, executing daily workload while ensuring customer requirements are met, tracking and managing all Gulf Winds equipment, cross-training to cover workload distribution, openly communicating challenges and opportunities, managing cost to increase profitability and minimize cost to customers, ensuring proper maintenance and cleanliness of the facility, and managing quarterly KPIs to support company goals.
Requirements include organizational skills, professional communication and writing skills, self-starter attitude, problem resolution skills, computer skills, logistics and intermodal experience, and a high school diploma or GED.
Previous transportation experience is preferred.
