Position Overview

 

ONE Sotheby’s Development Division is seeking an Architect & Interior Designer to lead and enhance the architectural and design strategy across our portfolio of luxury condominium projects. This role is ideal for a highly experienced architect or designer with a strong real estate background, particularly in working with developers and brokerage firms on high-end residential developments.

 

The Architect & Interior Designer will work closely with developers, architects, interior designers, and our in-house team to provide expert guidance on floor plans, unit mix, design trends, and wellness-focused features. The candidate should be well-versed in global luxury design trends, space planning, and market demands to help shape residences that meet the evolving needs of high-net-worth buyers.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Architectural & Design Consulting

• Review and provide recommendations on floor plans, unit layouts, and design efficiencies.

• Advise developers on unit mix, size optimization, and space planning to align with market demand.

• Ensure all designs maximize functionality, aesthetic appeal, and sales potential.

• Market & Trend Analysis

• Stay ahead of global design trends in architecture, interiors, and wellness-focused living.

• Identify and incorporate emerging luxury buyer preferences into development projects.

• Maintain relationships with top designers and architects worldwide to bring best-in-class expertise to our clients.

• Client & Developer Collaboration

• Work closely with our developer clients to refine and enhance project designs.

• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to ensure alignment between design elements and buyer expectations.

• Serve as a key advisor in architectural decisions, finishes, and lifestyle amenities.

• Industry Engagement & Thought Leadership

• Represent ONE Sotheby’s at industry events, panels, and design conferences.

• Build relationships with top-tier architects, designers, and real estate professionals.

• Educate internal teams and clients on design innovations and competitive positioning.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in architecture, interior design, or real estate development.

• Proven track record of working with luxury residential developers or brokerage firms in an in-house architecture or design role.

• Strong knowledge of floor plan optimization, unit mix strategies, and buyer preferences in the high-end condo market.

• Deep understanding of global luxury design trends and wellness-focused building concepts.

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to advise clients and developers confidently.

• Experience working on high-end residential or mixed-use developments is preferred.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
