Job Description:
A pharmacist is required to comply with state and federal laws regulated by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy, Drug Enforcement Agency, and Food and Drug Administration. In doing so, a pharmacist must maintain records for controlled substances, remove outdated or damaged drugs from inventory, supervise the work results of support personnel, maintain a current registration, and stay up to date with current standard practices and laws.
SHIFT AND SCHEDULE
We have the following shifts available:
Full Time: Rotating Shifts; Every Other Weekend
Full Time: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Full Time: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Provides pharmacological information by answering requests of healthcare professionals and by monitoring drug therapy and advising on interventions
Completes pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians’ workflow; verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals; verifying order entries, charges, and inspections
Ensures accuracy of entered orders and timely delivery of medications to the respective recipient
Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with established hospital policies and procedures
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree required
Current State of Texas License as a Registered Pharmacist
Certification in area of specialty (e.g., CACP, CNSC, BCNSP, BCOP, BCPS) preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The individual must be able to:
Stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, see, speak and hear. Lifting is limited to 35 lbs. for clinical staff and to 50 lbs. for non-clinical staff. The individual must use an assisted-lift device or get another individual(s) to assist with the lift that is over these maximum limits.
