Machine Shop Manager

We are seeking a hands-on Machine Shop Manager to lead CNC and manual machining operations. This role is responsible for driving production performance, ensuring quality, managing schedules, and leading a skilled team in a fast-paced, high-mix environment. Key Responsibilities

Manage daily machine shop operations (CNC&manual) Prioritize, schedule, and delegate work to meet delivery, quality, and cost goals Develop production schedules and optimize workflow Establish machining processes, routings, and labor standards Oversee materials, tooling, and subcontracted processes Support quoting, RFQs, and purchasing activitiesLead machining projects from kickoff through completion Serve as a technical expert and troubleshoot machining issues Train and mentor employees on equipment and processes Drive 5S and ensure compliance with safety and ISO 9001 standards Qualifications

7–10+ years of machining experience with leadership responsibility Extensive CNC experience (Vertical&Turning Centers required; Horizontal preferred) Strong knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, G-code, tooling, and setup Experience with FANUC controls (Okuma a plus) CAM programming experience (Mastercam preferred) Experience in low-volume, high-mix manufacturing Lean manufacturing and process improvement experience What We're Looking For
