School District No. 30 Ronan/Pablo Schools Middle School Coaches (This position may be prorated by remainder of days in season if hire is after start of season) Job Description Qualifications: MHSA Coaching requirements: Completion of the Fundamentals of Coaching core course prior to contact with student-athletes. Certification is good for a five-year period, inclusive of the first season in which the course is completed. pletion of the Concussion in Sports course prior to contact with student-athletes. Certification is good for a one-year period. Completion of the sport-specific online rules clinic. These clinics are available through the MHSA website at . 1) Must possess current first aid card.2) Successful coaching experience. 3) Specialized preparation emphasizing the coaching of the respective sport. 4) Good physical health. 5) Knowledge of the care and preparation of athletic injuries. 6) Such alternatives to the above as the board deems necessary and appropriate. 7) Pending hire will be determined by passing background check.8) All hiring will be done by School District No. 30 on an annual basis. Reports to: Head Coach and Activities Director Supervises: Student athletes Job Goal: To assist the Head Coach in developing a viable program. Performance Responsibilities: Assume full responsibility for the team you are to coach.Instruct, prompt, and supervise student-athletes/students for whom you are responsible during practices, games and trips. Inform student-athletes of scheduled practices and games. Assume responsibility for the care of equipment issued to your team members. File a completed Accident Report with the Activities Director for any injury to your team members.Assume any additional responsibilities assigned by the head coach.
