We are seeking an experienced forklift operator to support material movement in a fast-paced metal recycling facility.
This role involves handling
irregular, heavy, and loose scrap materials
in an outdoor industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate forklifts to move, load, and stage scrap metal (aluminum, copper, etc.)
Handle
non-palletized, uneven, and shifting loads
Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks
Work safely around heavy processing equipment (conveyors, shredders, etc.)
Maintain awareness of pedestrians, spotters, and machinery
Keep work areas clear of debris and hazards
Follow all OSHA and company safety protocols
Requirements:
Forklift certification (or ability xhqgsiq to obtain)
Experience in
scrap yard, recycling, construction, or heavy industrial setting strongly preferred
Ability to work outdoors in heat, dust, and noise
Comfortable handling sharp and irregular materials
Strong safety mindset and situational awareness
