Busy specialty medical office is seeking an experienced Medical Insurance Biller to join their team.
This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Responsibilities
Process billing for office visits, testing, and procedures
Submit claims and handle denials, appeals, corrections, and resubmissions
Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim issues
Assist patients with insurance and billing questions
Maintain accurate records within the EMR system
Follow through on outstanding claims and billing issues
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of medical insurance billing experience in a private medical practice
Experience with appeals and resubmissions required
Strong clerical, data entry, and organizational skills
EMR experience required; Greenway experience is a plus
Excellent phone and communication skills
Cardiology billing experience preferred, but willing to train someone from another specialty
Reliable with strong attendance and attention to detail
