Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the Custodian performs routine custodial services at designated school site(s) during an assigned shift and maintains building, classrooms, gymnasium, multipurpose room, office spaces, and adjacent grounds areas in clean, orderly, and secure condition.

Ability to: Work with or without accommodations with limited or without immediate supervision Communicate positively with staff, students, and the public Understand and carry out oral and written directions. Possess oral and written aptitudes Perform routine custodial duties and follow a planned cleaning scheduleMaintain tools and equipment in clean working order Skillfully use equipment and tools involved in assigned tasks Lift and move furniture and equipment utilizing proper physical safety measures Maintain classrooms, offices, and other school facilities in a clean, safe, and secure condition according to established guidelinesObserve and report safety hazards and need for maintenance and repair Maintain consistent, punctual and regular attendance Ability to use telephones and office equipment
