Role Summary

PGIM Quantitative Solutions is looking to hire a Production Support/QA Manager to join its Systems Production Support team to help lead the support and quality assurance of our investment platforms and operational systems. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with operational oversight, ensuring high system availability, timely resolution of issues, and consistent quality of software releases.

This is an exciting time to join PQS as it embarks on a multi-year strategic program to migrate existing business applications to Microsoft Azure, Fabric & Power Apps platforms. As such, PQS is seeking an experienced individual with capabilities both in the current & future technology stacks.

The selected candidate will be part of a highly talented, multifunctional team and be involved in technology solutions across the full spectrum of Investment Management business capabilities.

As part of a multi-year strategy, PQS is forming a dedicated production support team, and you ll play an instrumental role in its formation.

The ideal candidate will bring a blend of production support expertise, strong QA automation skills and a background in financial systems. They will also be proficient in C# .Net and Oracle database development in support of the existing stack and experienced with MS Azure, MS Fabric and MS PowerApps to cater for future work.

This position requires an eager and dynamic individual capable of working independently and in a variety of capacities. To be considered for this position, candidates must possess very strong oral / written communication skills, work well with others, have the ability to manage multiple concurrent activities and possess the requisite technology skills below.

Responsibilities & Expectations include:

Leads daily production support activities across critical investment and operational platforms

Monitors, troubleshoots, and resolves issues related to batch jobs, scheduled processes, and applications

Manages and triages support tickets in Jira, ensuring SLAs and escalation protocols are followed

Collaborates and communicates effectively with team members & business partners

Maintains operational runbooks and documentation, and implements monitoring and alerting best practices

Applies strong diagnostic, analytic, and problem-solving skills

Demonstrates deep technical domain expertise

Develops and executes test scenarios to ensure the stability and performance of applications utilizing automated QA framework

Defines and manages the QA strategy for internal applications, APIs, and batch processes

Develops and maintains automated test cases

Leads regression, performance, and integration testing cycles to support frequent code releases

Shares ideas / concepts at relevant communities of practice and within the broader team

Provides technical support, troubleshoots production issues, and drives process improvements by incorporating new technologies and best practices to enhance business operations

Overall desire to learn and be intellectually curious

Skills / Qualifications:

Must Have:

3+ years prior production support and QA in Financial Services

Basic familiarity with the following to allow for troubleshooting production issues:

.NET Framework 4.6.1 and up

C#, ASP.NET MVC 5, AJAX, Windows Communication Foundation

Oracle, SQL Server

JavaScript, JSON, HTML CSS, and JQuery

Visual Studio 2022

Hands-on experience with Selenium, BDD frameworks, and test automation tools

Experience with Jira for issue tracking

Excellent analytical, communication, and incident management skills

Familiarity with financial markets and quant equity workflows

B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar

Good to Have:
