Finance Operations Manager

Our client has an opening for a highly motivated, detail-oriented Finance Operations Manager to join our accounting team in Kearny NJ

Primary Job Responsibilities

Initiate and monitor physical inventory and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy, investigate variances, and resolve issues.

Perform accounting, analysis & reporting of manufacturing costs, including materials, labor, overhead, & freight.

Compare actual costs to estimates and work with other departments on determining causes & corrective actions.

Investigate inventory counting variances and resolve issues.

Reporting & analysis of inventory turnover, including highlight of slow moving, non-conforming & obsolete parts.

Fixed asset accounting, including physical counts & tracking asset utilization.

Provide back-up & support for other accounting functions as needed, including special projects as assigned.

Assist in developing continuous monitoring programs for key business areas using data analysis

Support internal and external audit requests during annual and interim audits

Ad-hoc financial analysis and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

2 to 5 years accounting experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is a plus

Knowledge of SAP is a plus

Strong Excel Skills

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Verbal and written communication skills

Able to build and manage collaborative relationships with a variety of people
