Our client, a global leader in specialized packaging and engineered solutions, is looking for a Production Planner to own the heartbeat of their Newark operations. - High Impact: You aren't just following a schedule; you’re building it. You will own the master production schedule and drive inventory optimization.
- Strategic Influence: You will analyze "make vs. buy" scenarios and present critical recommendations to senior management.
- Collaborative Culture: Work directly with Engineering and Logistics to ensure every product moves from concept to customer seamlessly.
- The Experience: 8+ years of "boots-on-the-ground" planning experience in a manufacturing setting.
- The Brainpower: A degree in Supply Chain or Engineering is preferred and a knack for identifying bottlenecks before they happen.
- The Communication: The ability to explain complex plans clearly to both shop floor teams and executive leadership.

- Planning & Scheduling: Develop and optimize daily, weekly, and monthly master production schedules against plant capacity.
- Constraint Management: Identify and manage bottlenecks, evaluating trade-offs such as overtime vs. outsourcing and make-vs-buy decisions.
- Inventory Control: Own the performance of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods inventory to align with cash targets.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as the primary planning interface for Sales, Engineering, and Quality, and support New Product Introductions (NPI).
- Process Improvement: Drive Lean and Kaizen initiatives to improve planning accuracy and execution.
