Senior Network Architect, Newark

We are seeking an experienced
Senior Network Architect
to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our enterprise network infrastructure.
This role requires deep expertise in
Cisco networking, Cisco VoIP (Collaboration), and Fortinet security solutions
.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong hands-on experience in building scalable, secure, and high-performing network environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design and architect enterprise network solutions across LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and cloud environments
Lead the deployment and optimization of
Cisco VoIP/Collaboration solutions
(CUCM, Unity, Webex, etc.)
Architect and manage secure network environments using
Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer)
Oversee Cisco-based infrastructure including routing, switching, wireless, and data center technologies
Develop and enforce network security standards, including segmentation, VPNs, and Zero Trust frameworks
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Security, Cloud, DevOps, Infrastructure)
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to network engineers
Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to improve performance, scalability, and security
Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and voice-related issues
Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience in network engineering and architecture
Strong expertise in
Cisco networking (routing, switching, wireless)
Hands-on experience with
Cisco VoIP/Collaboration platforms (CUCM, SIP, voice gateways, QoS)
Proven experience with
Fortinet security solutions
(FortiGate firewalls, VPNs, threat management)
Deep knowledge of networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, QoS)
Experience designing secure, highly available network architectures
Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Cisco certifications (CCNP, CCIE Collaboration or Enterprise)
Fortinet NSE certifications
Experience with automation tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform)
Experience with SD-WAN and SASE architectures
Candidate must be local to the Philadelphia/Delaware area
