Rutgers University-Newark (RU-N), an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise, is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to serve as the Senior Administrative Assistant to the Senior Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs (SVC). This role spans executive support, project and event management, and office administration and plays a critical role in advancing the priorities of the SVC and supporting the broader mission of Student Affairs and the university.This position is responsible for and not limited to the following: Provides comprehensive executive-level support, requiring discretion, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage sensitive and complex issues with professionalism Manages executive calendars, coordinates a high volume of meetings and events, prepares agendas, presentations, and reports, and ensures compliance with university policies related to travel, procurement, expense management, and financial operationsSupports major projects and strategic initiatives, oversees event logistics, and serves as a key liaison to internal and external stakeholders Interacts regularly with senior executives, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and external partners, requiring a high level of judgment, confidentiality, and professionalismManages office operations, including procurement, inventory, IT coordination, and recordkeeping, to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and accountability across business functions FLSA - Nonexempt Grade - 05 Salary Details Minimum Salary - 68278.480 Mid Range Salary - 84393.980 Maximum Salary - 100509.480Offer Information - The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's qualifications, experience, and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position. Ability to work independently with limited supervision and as a team members Strong analytical and problem-solving skill Effective communication skills, both verbal and writtenPreferred Qualifications - Working knowledge of several information systems and processes.
