Growing Connecticut engineering firm seeking PE in a Traffic Engineer / Traffic Project Engineer to help expand and strengthen its transportation and traffic engineering capabilities.


This is an excellent opportunity for a PE with strong technical credibility who can interface with agencies such as CTDOT and participate in traffic studies, roadway/intersection evaluations, and transportation planning initiatives.


Responsibilities

Perform traffic engineering analysis and intersection evaluations

Prepare traffic impact studies and transportation planning reports

Coordinate with CTDOT, municipalities, and public stakeholders

Support roadway and transportation improvement projects

Analyze traffic operations, signalization, safety, and capacity issues

Attend public meetings and present technical findings

Collaborate with multidisciplinary civil engineering teams

Requirements

BS in Civil Engineering or related discipline

PE license strongly preferred

EIT candidates nearing PE eligibility may be considered

520+ years of traffic engineering experience

Experience with intersection analysis, traffic studies, roadway planning, and transportation engineering

Ability to communicate technical traffic concepts with credibility and professionalism

Familiarity with CTDOT standards and processes preferred

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Experience

Traffic modeling and operational analysis

Signalized intersections and roadway corridor studies

Transportation planning and permitting coordination

Public/client presentations and agency coordination
