Director, Advisor Channel – Northeast External (PA, NJ, NY, CT, RI, MA, NH, VT, ME)
Shelton Capital Management is seeking an experienced sales representative to oversee the Northeast Division.
We are looking for a sales professional to increase sales of our investment products by developing and nurturing relationships directly with financial advisors affiliated with Broker/Dealers, Independent Registered Investment Advisors, Trust Companies, and Family Offices.
This position is for a market leader who takes a long-term view of advisor relationships and territory success.
A successful candidate understands the big picture of how a large territory can effectively be covered with the goal of increasing territory revenue through individual success and mentoring a team to increase overall coverage and success.
Key responsibilities & duties include, but not limited to:
Coordinate and participate in driving sales initiatives that include in-person meetings, phone calls, zoom calls, marketing, and on-site visits featuring a wide range of asset management strategies.
Provide leadership in identifying and developing strategies/initiatives and act as leader, coach, and mentor to internal resources.
Participate as a subject matter expert and execute sales initiatives, internal/external communication, and client project deliverables.
Develop an internal professional to focus on providing authentic client service, professionalism, and contributing to the attainment of sales goals for the advisor channel.
Ideal qualifications and experience:
Bachelor's degree required, MBA is a plus.
FINRA Series 7 and 63 Required.
FINRA Series 65 or 66 Required within 90 days of hire.
5+ years of experience within the intermediary channel including experience with broker dealers and RIAs.
Considerable experience in understanding and selling mutual funds, ETFs, SMAs and a deep understanding of the financial advisory business.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly build credibility and gain the confidence of clients and individuals at all levels.
Problem solving skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, manage interruptions, and meet deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
Ability to work independently and remotely as well as thrive under pressure from deadlines and sales goals.
Exemplifies highest level of professionalism and ethical standards.
Strong organization skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Shelton Capital Management offers a competitive base salary of $80,000 - $100,000 based on experience, plus a lucrative quarterly incentive compensation program.
Total compensation package will include base salary, incentive compensation package, plus the option for a full benefits package paid for by Shelton, and a 100% match on 401k contributions.
