We are working with a well-regarded, sophisticated regional law firm seeking a
Medical Malpractice Associate
to join its
Hartford, Stamford , or
New Haven
office. This is an excellent opportunity for a litigation attorney looking to develop a long-term career within a highly respected medical malpractice defense practice known for handling complex, high-stakes matters on behalf of healthcare providers, hospitals, medical professionals, and healthcare institutions.
The firm is widely recognized for combining sophisticated legal work with a collaborative and collegial culture that emphasizes teamwork, mentorship, and professional growth. Associates are given meaningful responsibility early in their careers and work closely with experienced trial attorneys on challenging and substantive matters from the outset.
This role offers exposure to all phases of medical malpractice defense litigation, including: Case strategy and early case assessment Drafting pleadings, motions, and dispositive filings Managing discovery and conducting legal research Taking and defending depositions Working with medical experts and preparing expert materialsAssisting with mediations, hearings, arbitrations, and trial preparation Direct interaction with clients and healthcare professionals The ideal candidate will have:
At least 2 years of litigation experience, preferably gained at a sophisticated law firm Strong research, analytical, and writing skills Excellent academic credentials A collaborative, team-oriented approach The ability to manage responsibilities in a fast-paced litigation environment Admission to practice law in Connecticut
