Description
Job Title: Per Diem Residential Monitor
Summary: Assist in the direct care and supervision of clients to ensure safety and security; may provide
transportation as programmatic needs dictate. Must possess a valid driver's license. Expected to work
some evenings and weekends.
Duties:
o Maintain all program logs.
o Must be able to drive 15 passenger van.
o Ensure the safety and security of all residents.
o Coordinate transportation.
o Supervising the recreational component of the program.
o Search residents and visitors and facilities as specified by policy and procedure.
o Conduct urine and breathalyzer testing per policy and procedures.
o Implement the behavioral motivation model.
o Keeping the Supervisor informed. of progress and all developments.
o Collaborate with team members to ensure that residents' goals are met.
o Maintain resident records per program procedure and completing all required paperwork in
a timely manner.
o Supervise recreational and community service activities.
o Supervised urines collections
o Perform hourly head counts and room checks.
o Supervised food preparation, community service, chores, laundry, medication management and
visits.
o Write routine reports and correspondence.
o Performs all other duties as required.
Qualification: Associates Degree or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 1 year experience in human
services; the supervision and monitoring of clients preferred. Certification in CPR and First Aid required (training provided). Other required training: PREA, Narcan, Pat down/search, Conflict De-escalation (training provided)
Some positions require bilingual abilities (English-Spanish). Must have driving record acceptable to our insurance carrier.
Experience: Good interpersonal skills, able to deal with a diverse population. Experience working with
the criminal justice population preferred. Must be able to read, analyze and interpret documents such
as safety rules.
Licensure: Must have a valid State of Connecticut driver's license.
