Job Title: Warehouse Worker Job Description

The Warehouse Worker supports a high-volume automotive parts distribution facility by performing a variety of warehouse tasks across multiple departments. This role involves order picking for e-commerce and bulk distribution, operating warehouse equipment, and using computers and RF scan guns to ensure accurate, timely fulfillment of orders shipped worldwide. The position requires flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work on your feet in a large warehouse environment.Responsibilities

Move throughout the warehouse and work across different sections and departments as operational needs change during the day. Pick parts for the e-commerce operation by following pick lists and using an RF scan gun to locate and identify the correct items. Transport picked items to designated stations for packaging and shipping.Use computers to document orders, update inventory information, and complete basic data entry related to warehouse activities. Support bulk distribution operations by handling, organizing, and staging automotive parts for shipment to retail stores and other distribution channels. Maintain accuracy in picking and inventory handling to ensure correct parts and quantities are shipped to customers.Follow established procedures and safety guidelines while operating in the warehouse environment. Adapt quickly to changing priorities, including being pulled into different tasks or departments as needed. Participate in cross-training to learn multiple warehouse functions and apply that knowledge to support overall workflow.Essential Skills

Previous warehouse experience. Experience with warehouse picking processes. Ability to operate or learn to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, as needed. Basic computer skills to navigate systems and complete documentation. Ability to learn new tasks quickly and be effectively cross-trained across departments.Capability to move throughout a large warehouse and perform extensive walking during the shift. Comfort using RF scan guns or similar handheld scanning devices. Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in picking and inventory handling. Flexibility to handle changing tasks and priorities throughout the workday.Additional Skills&Qualifications

Familiarity with inventory processes and stock handling in a warehouse environment. Experience working in a distribution or e-commerce fulfillment center. Comfort working with technology and learning new warehouse systems. Willingness to support multiple teams and departments as needed. The position involves extensive walking and moving throughout different sections of the facility during the shift. The schedule follows a weekend shift from Saturday to Tuesday, noon to 10:30 p.m., supporting late-day and evening operations in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.Job Type&Location This is a Contract position based out of Branford, CT. The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
