Job Summary

An Order Filler is responsible for accurately selecting, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment. This role plays a key part in ensuring products are delivered on time, correctly, and safely. Order Fillers work in fast-paced warehouse environments and use scanners, pick lists, or voice systems to locate and process items.

Key Responsibilities

Pick products from warehouse shelves using pick lists, RF scanners, or voice systems

Verify item numbers, quantities, and product quality

Pack orders securely for shipping

Label packages correctly

Stack and palletize orders

Prepare orders for shipping or delivery

Load and unload trucks (in some locations)

Maintain a clean and safe work area

Follow all safety rules and company procedures

Meet daily productivity and accuracy targets

Report damaged or missing inventory

Assist with inventory counts when needed

Basic Job Requirements
Education

No college degree required

High school diploma or GED preferred

Age Requirement

Must be 18 years or older (some employers require 21+)

Physical Requirements

Order Filler is a physically active job. You must be able to:

Stand and walk for long periods (8–12 hours)

Lift up to 40–75 lbs (varies by company)

Bend, twist, reach, squat, and climb

Push and pull carts or pallets

Work in hot, cold, or freezer environments (depending on warehouse type)
