/ppThe Instructor Pilot is responsible for delivering high-quality flight simulator and ground school training in accordance with applicable regulatory agency requirements, CAE-approved curricula, and customer standards.
Acting as a subject matter expert (SME), the Instructor Pilot leads clients through their training experience while ensuring professionalism, safety, and instructional excellence.
After approximately 1.5 years, and based on business needs, designated instructors are expected to qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman.
/ph3Key Responsibilities/h3ulliDeliver simulator and classroom instruction on assigned aircraft types for licenses, type ratings, certificates, and pilot qualifications.
/liliConduct thorough and professional pre- and post-flight simulator briefings in accordance with CAE standards.
/liliMaintain accurate training records, track instructional qualifications, and recommend remedial training when required.
/liliServe as a subject matter expert (SME) in the development and maintenance of curricula and courseware when needed.
/liliProvide a professional, welcoming learning environment while delivering consistent, customer-focused training.
/li/ulh2Minimum Qualifications/h2ulliHold, or meet qualifications to obtain, an unrestricted ATP certificate and a minimum of one unrestricted PIC type rating.
/liliStrong passion for teaching with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
/liliBasic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and other internet-based applications.
/liliMust participate in CAEs DOT Drug Alcohol testing program.
/liliMust be authorized to live and work in the United States.
/li/ulh3Physical Requirements/h3ulliPhysical dexterity to perform tasks requiring hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
/liliAbility to sit in a confined space for 46 hours at a time with limited breaks.
/liliAbility to stand for extended periods (up to 10 hours) with limited breaks.
/liliAbility to sit, stoop, climb, twist, and turn as required for simulator instruction.
/li/ulh2Preferred Qualifications/h2ulliExperience flying business aircraft and single pilot.
/liliPrior instructional or training experience.
/liliDemonstrated ability to tailor instruction to a diverse, global customer base.
/liliStrong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records in compliance with CAE and FAA requirements.
