Immediate opening for an entry level trainee position at our small construction company. The applicant for this position should be a self-starter who is comfortable working on a variety of general labor tasks. If you are dependable, punctual, and have positive attitude this is a good opportunity for an enthusiastic person to learn a trade.

This is a full time job. Job hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm

Qualifications:

· Must be able to work outdoors in the Las Vegas heat

· Must be punctual, reliable and able to work in a team environment

· Excellent reading skills to understand and comprehend all construction warning signs

· Requires passing a pre-employment drug test and subsequent random drug tests

· Able to work in high-stress environment with extreme weather fluctuations

· Must be able to stand; walk; stoop; reach; climb; bend; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms

· Must have the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds

· Able to perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions

· Must have a current Nevada driver’s license

· Must be able to provide a DMV history report

· Must have reliable transportation to/from our shop

Summary of Position:

· Perform routine manual and semi-skilled work in the construction industry

· Operate a variety of hand and power tools

· Use shovels, picks, portable grinders

· Provide labor support as needed for specialty crew

· Perform general maintenance of construction equipment and vehicles

· Dig trenches and foundations in preparation for job site construction

· Flexibility of working long hours and the ability to work in all types of weather conditions

· Maintain a clean job site and to pick up all tools/equipment and secure the jobsite each day

· Other duties, as required
