Job Description
Trial Experience Preferred
We’re a Los Angeles criminal defense firm handling a mix of misdemeanor and felony matters across Southern California Courts. We’re hiring a Spanish-speaking attorney with 3–5 years of criminal defense experience and real courtroom time to take on a caseload with meaningful autonomy and grow into a senior role on our team. Compensation:
$145,000+ yearly based on experience and performance
Responsibilities:
You’ll manage your own caseload from intake through resolution, with paralegal support. You’ll appear in court regularly—arraignments, prelims, motions, and trials—and you’ll lead or co-lead trials based on your experience level. You’ll draft your own motions, develop case strategy directly with firm leadership, and communicate with clients in English and Spanish.
Qualifications:
Active California Bar license in good standing. 3–5 years of criminal defense experience. Professional fluency in Spanish (spoken and written)—you can interview a client, explain a plea, and handle witness prep in Spanish. Demonstrated trial experience—you’ve taken cases to verdict, first or second chair. Comfortable managing a caseload independently while knowing when to ask for backup. Strong written and oral advocacy.
About Company We are a criminal Defense law firm based in Los Angeles County. We represent clients in misdemeanor and felony matters across all Southern California counties. We are looking for the right candidate to join our growing firm.
