Through cutting-edge technology, industry knowledge, and a commitment to excellence, ARCXIS continues to set the standard for residential construction services.We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Florida Licensed Standard Residential Inspector to join our growing Third-Party Private Provider Inspection Team as we embark on unprecedented growth and expansion. The Licensed Inspector will be responsible for conducting comprehensive residential inspections to verify compliance with the Florida Building Code and approved plans to ensure safety and quality of the property. Come be a part of our dynamic and highly respected team of licensed professionals.Primary Responsibilities: Perform detailed field inspections for compliance with state and local building codes. Maintain comprehensive project records, inspection results, test results and any other documentation pertaining to municipal required inspections. Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, residents and all other stakeholders explaining the inspection findings and their implications, construction best practices, codes, standards and local ordinances.Foster and develop a strong professional relationship with Construction Managers, tradesman, municipal building department staff and personnel. Maintaining knowledge of Florida building codes, regulations and standards to ensure compliance during inspections. Additional Duties and Responsibilities Include the Following:Assisting with other service lines including but not limited to Quality Assurance Inspections, compaction testing, etc. Reports to: Engineering Field Team Manager Requirements: Education, Experience and Desired Qualifications: Valid Florida Standard Residential Inspector (BN License) or FL Commercial equivalent.Valid Florida Driver License Reliable transportation Minimum 2 years experience related to field code compliance inspections. Customer service oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read and interpret plans, blueprints and specifications. Ability to work independently (but fully supported) and manage multiple inspections per day.Strong comfort level using technology including computers, tablets, and smartphones. Work Environment: Field Physical Demands: Ability to work in various weather conditions Ability to climb ladders Ability to lift 20 pounds Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Full-Time Hourly Position with expectation of 40 hours / week (8 hours / day)Travel: Local Travel required within approximately 2 hours of primary location. Occasional travel out of primary market location as required. Classification: Non-Exempt Additional Requirements: As an employee, the candidate must have good attendance as outlined in the employee handbook. Reliable transportation is required to accommodate testing equipment and a ladder. This role may involve driving over 80-120 miles per day. Candidates must have and maintain the following: a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and state-minimum auto insurance.
