KDG Construction Consulting
is seeking an Airport Maintenance Manager (AMM) who is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of airport facilities, airfield systems, and maintenance activities at Oceanside Airport. Under the direction of Airport Management, the AMM oversees day-to-day maintenance operations, coordinates long-term maintenance planning, and supervises maintenance staff to ensure compliance with airport safety standards and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Airfield Operations&Inspections
Conduct daily inspections of runways, taxiways, aprons, and other airfield areas to identify and remove debris or hazards Inspect and monitor all airfield lighting systems to ensure proper operation Ensure airport signage, pavement markings, and safety markings remain visible and compliant Coordinate and oversee airfield repairs, including pavement patching and lighting repairsMonitor and maintain perimeter fencing and access gates Fuel System Inspections
Perform daily inspections of Jet-A and Avgas fuel systems and storage tanks Monitor airport fuel levels and coordinate refueling needs as required Inspect fuel systems for contamination, including water or debris Ensure fueling trucks, pumps, and related equipment remain operational and compliant with safety standardsMaintenance Planning&Supervision
Assign and prioritize daily and weekly maintenance tasks for maintenance staff Develop preventative maintenance schedules for airport facilities and infrastructure Coordinate repairs and maintenance activities to minimize operational disruptions Maintain records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activitiesFacilities Management
Oversee maintenance and cleanliness of airport restrooms, administrative offices, and common areas Monitor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other facility systems Ensure airport facilities meet safety, operational, and cleanliness standards Grounds&Landscaping Maintenance
Maintain airfield and landside landscaping, including mowing infield and northside areas to maintain runway clear zones Inspect and maintain drainage systems and clear obstructions as necessary Ensure grounds maintenance activities comply with FAA safety requirements Emergency Response
Respond to fuel spills, aircraft incidents, and other airport emergencies Coordinate emergency maintenance response efforts as directed by Airport Management Support airport safety and emergency preparedness initiatives Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications in maintenance, aviation, or related field preferred Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to respond to emergencies outside normal business if needed Good communication and problem-solving skillsReliable transportation and valid driver’s license Ability to lift and carry supplies as needed Compensation:
