Loader/Unloader
Assist with the loading and unloading of metals in our Aluminum Extrusion department that are going to different areas of the facility for fabrication, anodizing, and powder coating.
Responsibilities
Remove material from the unload table and stack on skids or aging racks.
Blow sawdust from metals to prevent scratching.
Accurately count and record inventory.
Visually inspect metal for scratches or defects.
Perform associated duties of equal or less difficulty
Keep the area neat and clean.
Must be able to interact with employees professionally at all times.
Minimum Qualifications
Good hand and eye coordination.
Stack metal fast enough to keep up with the saw.
Count and record as you fill a rack or skid.
Able to stand ***** hours a day.
Able to lift 50 lbs.
Basic writing skills are necessary for completing daily production records.
Basic math skills are necessary for completing daily production reports.
Basic verbal communication skills are required to transfer or interpret problem explanations and to receive and understand work assignments.
Equipment/PPE Used (Machines, devices, tools, personal protective equipment, etc. used on this job):
Rollers for skids, rollers for aging racks, and cross bars for separating metal.
Always wear earplugs, safety shoes, and safety glasses when the saw is in operation.
Environment
Close to the extrusion metal saw, high noise levels require the use of earplugs.
Due to noise levels, verbal communications may, at times, be difficult.
The area is not air-conditioned and is extremely hot in summer.
The floor is concrete with no floor covering.
