Swimming Instructor
Do you love kids and love water? We are looking for a person with passion and enthusiasm for both! Must have four years professional experience, two years experience with kids, and a high school diploma. This instructor will be responsible for teaching stroke development to children and adults in both private lesson and group class formats. Must have two years of experience in swim instruction or competitive swimming.Position is year round, part time, with hours typically ranging from 15-30. (Pay rate may be negotiable based on level of experience.) Primary hours for this position are Mon-Fri 3:00 PM-7:00 PM (possibly until 8 PM a couple nights per week)&Saturday 9:00 AM-3:00 PM. Must be available during summer months May-August. Duties would include, but are not limited to the following: Undergoing paid training session in preparation for position Setting up/putting away company equipment and materials at pool each day Teaching swimming lessons to a variety of age groups and skill levels*This list includes the current primary responsibilities of this position. It is not intended to be all-inclusive and is subject to change, as needed, for the purpose of operational efficiency. Position Requirements: Swimming experience required; must be knowledgeable of swimming technique. Required Skills:Patience with children Friendly and polite to customers and other people around work place Careful attention to detail during lessons Must be good listener and coach-able Ability to summarize and articulate what you observed with parents after each lesson Physical Requirements: Must be able to support all ages and types of swimmers in waterMust be able to lift up to 20 lbs for moving equipment Compensation: $12 per hour Oklahoma Swim Academy is dedicated to teaching all ages a love for safe swimming! Our instructors build relationships with our students that create an atmosphere of trust to promote learning. We specialize in one-on-one, private swim lessons that balance pushing each student toward their goals while having fun. Our team members are put in positions to succeed through intensive training, ongoing support, and excellent wages and perksMember schools are independently owned and operated. Your application will go directly to the member school, and all hiring decisions will be made by the management of this school.
