We invite you to review the opportunity details below and forward this message to others you feel may be qualified.As a Fiscal Analyst 2, you will be responsible for completing daily, monthly, and annual tasks that include assisting with revenue and receivable related journal entries, reconciliations, transfers, and reports.
This position reconciles revenue sources and maintains internal accounting records.

Here are some of the other essential functions you can expect:
* Provide accounting information to other agencies to record revenue transactions properly.
As a part of the reconciliation process, analyze and correct transactions with errors.
* Provide refund research information for the Tax Account Administration Division.
* Maintain accounting records for all activity within the Leasehold Fund.
This includes the accounting for all revenue and expenditures within the Leasehold Fund.
Reconciles the fund balances as of the last working day and determines correct amount to be transferred to correct revenue sources.
* Review and approve journal vouchers and manual refunds to be processed into the statewide financial system.
* Maintain and input property tax revenue monies into property tax accounting system.
* Maintain the daily AFRS batch control log and batch headers.
* Review the In Process Report daily
* Monitor the ATLAS ACH/Paper Refunds & Unclaimed Property Paper Refunds.
The required qualifications are key competencies that have been successfully demonstrated through experience or education.To join our team, you must possess the following knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies:
* Demonstrated ability to compile, transmit, and reconcile financial data across systems.
* Proven accounting skills to demonstrate ability to complete accurate general ledger accounting transactions, and complete general ledger reconciliations.
* Proven ability to apply critical thinking and analytical skills to resolve accounting related problems.
* Ability to identify discrepancies, analyze data, and recommend solutions.
Includes attention to detail and innovative thinking.
* Ability to communicate verbally and in writing sufficient to explain and interpret accounting requirements to financial and non-financial audiences.
* Ability to interpret and apply laws, rules, and standards.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite functions and applications.

Preference may be granted to candidates who possess:
* One year of experience as a Fiscal Analyst 1 OR
* Two years of professional-level accounting, budgeting, and/or auditing experience.
* College-level education in accounting or a related field can substitute for experience on a one year of experience is equivalent to two years of education.
