Overview:
As our Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for providing support to the Finance Department primarily in vouchering invoices, matching PO’s to vouchers, and paying invoices. This position is also responsible for disbursing funds on the company’s behalf and creating and maintaining vendor records.
Detailed Description:
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions
Process high-volume invoices and ensure timely and accurate payment to vendors
Verify, reconcile, and resolve discrepancies in purchase orders, invoices, and payment requests
Maintain and update vendor records in the accounting system
Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments (ACH, wires, checks)
Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment issues and inquiries
Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting regulations
Maintains regular and predictable in-office attendance
Support the finance team with ad hoc tasks and reports as needed
Abides by all policies and procedures of Oriental Trading Company
Marginal Functions
1. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned

Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills

Education
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience
2+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting preferred
Proficiency with Oracle accounting software and Microsoft Excel preferred
