Accounting / Payables Analyst

The Accounting / Payables Analyst is responsible for managing the vendor payment process from start to finish.
Responsible for timely vendor and loan payments for several companies.
Perform routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to maintain accurate and complete accounting records.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
Process all vendor and loan payments (ACH, check, EFT, wire)
Initiate, validate, and/or review payables expense coding
Follow up on outstanding payables with vendors and internal approvers
Set-up all new vendors in appropriate systems
Monitor vendor accounts, resolve issues, verify accuracy of information
Weekly reporting to management on payment activity and account status
Process all W-9 forms
Assist with year-end **** processing
Assist with any other overflow tasks deemed necessary by management
Qualifications and Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent is required
2+ years of administrative work experience required
Previous transactional accounting work experience a plus
Strong computer skills including intermediate/advanced experience in Microsoft Excel
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Demonstrated initiative to proactively seek out work, complete tasks, and follow-up on outstanding items
Demonstrated ability to think critically and prioritize tasks appropriately
Work Requirements:
Dependable and consistent attendance/punctuality
Preference to work independently, yet willingness to be a good teammate
Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs
Ability to meet all functional requirements including, but not limited to: sitting, kneeling, standing, walking, bending, squatting, finger dexterity, and reaching above/below shoulders
