Provide Expert Nuclear Medicine Services in a State-of-the-Art Department
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, provide patient care, and contribute to quality assurance in a leading medical center.
Responsibilities:
Perform Nuclear Medicine Procedures: Conduct a range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals and specialized equipment, following physician orders and established protocols.
Patient Care: Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring proper dosages and radiation safety. Explain procedures to patients, addressing any concerns they may have.
Image Acquisition: Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment, such as gamma cameras and PET/CT scanners, to obtain high-quality images.
Data Analysis: Process and analyze imaging data to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Quality Assurance: Participate in quality control measures to ensure optimal equipment performance and compliance with safety standards.
Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, including procedures performed, dosages administered, and any relevant observations.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine training program.
Certifications:
Upon hire: National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) OR National Registered Technologist (NRT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology
California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications:
1 year of experience working with cameras/computers of the same manufacturer as those at the medical center.
Experience performing nuclear medicine procedures on patients of all ages, from infants to older adults.
Intravenous administration experience with pediatric patients.
