Responsibilities:
Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Oncology Pharmacist Specialist/Residency Program Director, the incumbent rotates through the different Pharmacy learning areas: pharmaceutical patient care, administrative functions, drug dispensing, staffing, and investigational drug services with a focus on the care of oncology and hematology patients. The incumbent actively participates as an integral member of interdisciplinary teams caring for oncology and hematology patients. Incumbent assumes responsibility for their pharmaceutical care, serves as the ultimate resource for information on oncologic and supportive care therapies, and actively participates in decision making affecting the care of these patients. The incumbent actively participates in rounding, staffing efforts, and administrative projects as prioritized by the Oncology Pharmacist Specialist/Residency Program Director. The residency starts and ends in July.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Must be eligible for, and obtain, CA Pharmacist license within four months of residency employment
Current BLS or ACLS upon hire
Completion of PGY1 pharmacy practice residency
