4 Corner Resources is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Interior Design Manager to join our client’s Strategic Development team. This role will manage third-party interior design consultants and oversee multiple resort renovation projects across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of hospitality standards, exceptional organizational skills, and an ability to lead complex design projects from concept to completion.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from a CIDA-accredited program or equivalent experience.
6–8 years of progressive experience in interior design, preferably within hospitality or commercial renovation.
Strong experience managing external design teams and leading projects through full life cycle.
Familiarity with construction processes, building codes, and safety standards.
Experience interpreting budgets, contracts, and legal documentation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Proficiency in design software such as Revit or AutoCAD.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & InDesign) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiarity with specification writing software is a plus.
Professional certification(s) in interior design or related field preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities
Manage up to 25 concurrent design projects, ensuring alignment with brand standards, stakeholder input, budget, and timeline.
Lead third-party design firms by preparing RFPs, evaluating bids, onboarding teams, and monitoring performance.
Conduct site visits with awarded design teams to evaluate project scope and meet with key stakeholders.
Oversee weekly design reviews to ensure timelines and budgets are maintained.
Participate in QA/QC processes and ensure accurate documentation is delivered for procurement and project management.
Respond promptly to RFIs and review submittals with attention to detail.
Enforce and uphold brand standards across all design deliverables.
May manage in-house design projects including concept design, FF&E selection, space planning, budget control, and construction documentation.
Travel up to 35% may be required, including international destinations—passport required.
