Mechanical Design Engineer, Orlando, FL

Are you a skilled Mechanical Engineer with a passion for designing? Our client in Orlando is looking for a dynamic Mechanical Engineer to develop fuel packages, skidded systems, and process control solutions. This role is perfect for an engineer who thrives in 3D modeling (SolidWorks), piping design, and system integration, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and efficiency. This is an onsite position.

responsibilities:

• Design equipment skids, piping systems, and control systems for gas turbine applications

• Use SolidWorks CAD to create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings

• Review project specifications and ensure designs meet customer requirements

• Integrate piping, valves, pumps, and instruments into safe and functional systems

• Select components and generate Bills of Materials (BOMs)

• Prepare technical documentation, including drawings, datasheets, and testing procedures

Required Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering discipline

• 3+ years experience in mechanical engineering, including design, fabrication, and testing of industrial systems

• Proficient in using Solidworks for creating 3D models and 2D drawings

• Familiarity with industrial equipment (e.g., control valves, pumps, motors)

• Experience with piping and process control system design

• Knowledge of industrial standards (e.g., ANSI, API, ASME)
