Legacy Historic Tour Guide Work Study, St. Augustine

Job Title

Conducting historical tours of the former Hotel Ponce de Leon, now home to Flagler College to the general public, and running Flagler's Legacy gift shop. Responsibilities

Open and close shop with minimum assistance Conduct a 45-minute scripted historical tour of Flagler College Performs general cashiering responsibilities accurately and efficiently, including actively selling tour tickets. Greets and assists customers as they enter, peruse, and exit the store Monitors inventory, stocks, and cleans where neededAssists with general cleaning responsibilities and other duties as assigned Assists with merchandising products and creating displays and signs Assists with answering the phones and taking special orders Provides additional assistance at Flagler's Legacy during special events and holidays Other duties as assigned by Flagler's Legacy ManagersQualifications

Current Flagler College student Must be able to work weekends and holidays Must be able to speak to groups of 20+ people Must be able to communicate their Flagler College experience Highly creative and detail-oriented Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervisionMust be comfortable working with Apple technology Must be able to access multi-story building with a staircase Must be able to lift and maneuver boxes up to 40lbs Must be able to stand for up to 5 hours Required Skills
