Manufacturing Planning Engineer, California

PGS Worldwide is actively seeking a skilled Manufacturing Planning Engineer to support ongoing projects for an Aerospace leader in Palmdale, CA. This is an initial 15-month contract-to-hire opportunity, and I will respond immediately to all qualified candidates.

Job Description:

PGS Worldwide is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Manufacturing Planning Engineer to join our Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining manufacturing process documentation, including Manufacturing Bills of Materials (MBOMs), Order Bills of Materials (OBOMs), and comprehensive electronic work instructions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and compliant manufacturing processes aligned with engineering and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Create, update, and maintain Manufacturing and Order Bills of Materials.

Analyze engineering drawings, 3D models, and specifications to develop accurate manufacturing plans.

Develop and publish clear, actionable electronic work instructions and supporting documents.

Collaborate with Designers, Production Engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between engineering and manufacturing requirements.

Conduct compliance checks and revision control for manufacturing documentation.

Participate in program and management reviews by tracking and documenting action items through completion.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent

US Citizenship

Experience with manufacturing planning processes and best practices.

Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering models.

Demonstrated aptitude for technical writing and documentation creation.

Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.

Proficiency with systems and tools such as SAP, Microsoft Office, CAPP/SFM, iBASEt, Teamcenter, and 3DX.
