Manufacturing Engineer, Palmdale, CA

We have an outstanding Contract position for a Manufacturing Engineer to join a leading Company located in the Palmdale, CA surrounding area.

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $100.00 Hourly

**USCitizenship is required.**

**Candidate must possess an Active Secret Security Clearance.**

Job Responsibilities:  

• Performs in a collaborative environment to develop and implement manufacturing processes and procedures for assemblies and equipment installation. 
• Drives adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer-aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction andquality improvement.
• Creates and analyzes 3D-based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions. 
• Leverages understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence. 
• Evaluates performance (including IoT devices, etc.) of equipment and tools to verify their efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action ofproblems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence. 
• Leverages factory data to develop statistical process control approaches and integrates reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement. 
• Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.

Basic Hiring Criteria: 

• 3 years of recent Catia V5 experience.
• 3 years of recent Teamcenter experience.
• 5 years of air vehicle systems experience required (hydraulics, fuel, electrical, propulsion, avionics, flight test, ground test, environmental control systems, etc.).
• Aviation Experience Required.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment working cross-functionally with other disciplines including industrial engineering, planning, scheduling, Quality Assurance &/or production planning.
• Experience with some combination of the following: experience with manufacturing processes and procedures including: assembly, machining, and electrical in several disciplines including metallics, machining, electrical harness fabrication and routing, systems installations, &/or final assembly operations.
• Previous experience developing visual work instructions for use in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Teamcenter and CATIA.
