HVAC Maintenance Supervisor

The Clark County Department of Aviation is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the HVAC Maintenance Supervisor position. This position plans, supervises, directs, and reviews the work of skilled, semi-skilled, and support staff performing journey-level installation, repair, maintenance, remodeling, and testing of heating, air-conditioning, fire sprinkler, and related systems, equipment, and facilities on a variety of Department of Aviation locations. Employee Services reserves the right to call only the most qualified applicants to the selection process.Minimum requirements include education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and nine (9) years of skilled experience in the HVAC trade, one (1) year of which includes lead or supervisory experience. Successful completion of a recognized apprenticeship as an HVAC mechanic may be substituted for four (4) years of the required experience. Experience with heating, cooling and refrigeration systems and equipment in an industrial or plant setting required. All qualifying education and each experience must be clearly documented in the "Education" and "Work Experience" sections of the application. Licensing and certification requirements include a valid Class C Nevada Driver's License at time of appointment, EPA certification for refrigerant handling, and a Class G certification for Nevada fire sprinkler systems testing. Employment is contingent upon the results of a physical examination performed by our examining physician, a pre-employment drug examination, and a residency requirement.
