Lifeguard Position

Responsible for the safety of our guests in the pool area. Responsible for the cleanliness of the pool/deck areas. Position Responsibilities/Duties:

Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Downtown Grand service standards at all times Provides courteous service to all guests Watches the pool closely from the lifeguard stations and ensures the safety of our guests at all times Maintains the pool deck so that it is clean and slip resistantRemains visible to hotel guests at all times Attends all training sessions and meetings and remains prepared to practice acquired skills Maintains an upright and attentive posture while guarding Follows all safety and health standards set forth by Downtown Grand at all times Obtains a bank, operates a cash register, and balances cash drawer on a daily basisCharges and collects payment for pool admissions, cabana sales, pool memberships, and retain product Assist in inventorying retail product and stocking as needed Uses a Saflok key encoder to verify hotel guest are registered Wristbands all pool guests and monitors pool for unauthorized guests Actively sells cabanas and day beds and monitors to ensure only paid guests are utilizing themPre-sets up pool chairs, day beds, and cabanas for guests according to service standards Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements:

Previous Lifeguard experience preferred Must be Lifeguard Certified Must have CPR and First Aid training certification Must possess excellent customer service skills Must get along with co-workers and work as a team Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of standing. Withstand prolonged exposure to extreme heat. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. Ability to work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, and smoke. Follow all safety procedures as established by the company.
