The primary responsibility of the CADC is to provide direct clinical services to clients in a supportive, trauma-informed environment. Key duties include:Clinical Assessment: Conducting comprehensive substance abuse screenings and clinical assessments to determine appropriate levels of care.Treatment Planning: Developing and maintaining person-centered treatment plans that address both substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.Counseling Services: Facilitating individual and group counseling sessions, as well as psycho-educational workshops.Case Management: Coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams, including mental health professionals and external community resources, to ensure continuity of care.Documentation: Maintaining accurate, timely, and compliant clinical records that meet the stringent standards required for Nevada Medicaid reimbursement and state regulatory compliance.Required Skills and QualificationsCertification: Must hold current certification as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or be eligible for internship status as recognized by the Nevada Board of Examiners for Alcohol, Drug and Gambling Counselors.Medicaid Compliance: Demonstrated knowledge of clinical documentation standards required for Medicaid billing, including the necessity for medical necessity justification and progress notes that reflect the "Golden Thread" of treatment.Clinical Proficiency: Ability to apply evidence-based practices, such as Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), in a clinical setting.Professionalism: Strong ethical judgment, adherence to HIPAA regulations, and the ability to work effectively within a multicultural, multidisciplinary team.Education and ExperienceBachelors degree in a social science or related field from an accredited institution is preferred.Experience in residential or outpatient substance use treatment settings is highly desirable.Must possess a valid drivers license and pass a pre-employment criminal history background check and drug screening.recblid 672by7qg1671sgi5mfcnaysb8rav73
